Craigieburn Valley Predator Control

March 2022 was the conclusion of our first year carrying out predator control in the Craigieburn Valley. During that time we have caught:

• 1 mouse

• 4 rats

• 3 possums (in stoat traps!)

• 4 weasels

• 11 stoats

Given that a male stoat can have a range exceeding 200ha the removal of these predators has a positive on the native fauna in the valley. Many thanks to Aleksandra Pawlik, Ali Begg, Carole Stevens, Jude Heywood, Lois Cowan, Mark Harris, Mike Grant, Paul Corwin and Sally Widdowson.
